Moreover ultrasound scanner has (option) an USB memory interface, used to connect external Flash-Pen portable storage device (disc-like).

These devices are significantly faster then floppy disks, have much larger storage capacity, (one 512MB Pen is equivalent to 352 floppy disks!) and are much more convenient to transport. It is very easy to store image/screen into PEN device and subsequently to transfer stored images from scanner to PC (or similar device) and vice versa.

The capacity of acceptable Flash-PEN memory devices is from 128 to 512 MB (1GB) i.e. up to about 1000 images/screens.

Simple images transfer into/from PM-IM. Especially useful and recommended for multi-users - each uses his own PEN device.
